The Poetry Box is a low-energy device designed to experiment with the principle of generating poetry from existing poems. The Box is autonomous and powered by a manual crank, following the idea that “just because generation is automatic doesn’t mean there’s nothing to do.” Once the sonnet is generated, it appears on a low-resolution screen integrated into the device.
